# How to determine credit for learners doing a research project

Our nursing program is developing a curriculum for a new 2-week Holistic Nursing Education Program. It will be a 2-week education program broken up into 2 full day sessions (like a nursing conference). To graduate from the program, nurses are required to research, create, and implement a holistic care model on their nursing unit. Has anyone provided credit for a project like this? How would we determine how much credit to provide?

Maybe consider it as a pilot and award credit after completion once average time needed to complete project is determined. ANCC does allow retroactive awarding of credits for a pilot. See attached for what we used a couple of years ago.
