EthosCE 7.109 Released

EthosCE Version 7.109 was released to test sites on October 8, 2026, and to production sites on October 14, 2026.

Included in this release:

Additions

CORE-5589: Add Answer Sheet link to the quiz Question Results page. Learners can now open the Answer Sheet directly from the Question Results page after completing a quiz, subject to the quiz’s existing Answer Sheet settings.

Fixes

CORE-5565: Require a valid OAuth signature on LTI grade submissions. Grades sent by LTI tools are now verified against the tool’s OAuth credentials before being accepted. Unsigned or invalid submissions are rejected and logged.

CORE-5568: Fix newly imported questions not showing in Questions by Quiz screen. Corrected an issue where some CSV-imported quiz questions were missing from the Questions by Quiz list while others appeared twice. All imported questions now appear once.

CORE-5574: Prevent duplicate Stripe charges and allow retrying after a declined card. Stripe checkout now blocks duplicate charges from repeated clicks and lets learners retry after a declined card instead of blocking all later attempts on the order.

CORE-5598: Keep WYSIWYG formatting in profile field help text. Formatting applied to the description of profile fields inside a field collection, such as Board certification and licenses, now displays correctly on the user profile.

CORE-5599: Fix financial chart categories after an entry’s type changes, and totals when there is no income. The Financial tab Report Summary now shows the correct category when an entry is switched between Income and Expense, and calculates Total Expenses and Net Revenue correctly for courses with only expense entries.

CORE-5607: Update PARS JSON host URL. Corrected the production host for the ACCME PARS JSON connection so sites using the modernized JSON API can authenticate and save PARS data. Released as hotfix 7.109.1.

Changes

CORE-5566: Add CSS classes to Zoom course object fields so they can be styled or hidden with Global CSS. Each field on the Zoom “Join Training” page now has its own CSS class, so staff can style or hide individual fields (such as the session time) through Global CSS.

CORE-5574: Update uc_stripe to 7.x-3.3. Updated the Stripe payment module to the latest contributed release.

Can you explain more about the following update. How it may have impacted Ethos customers and how to know if we were impacted? If we were impacted, has it been resolved for all customers or would/how we need to conduct an audit? CORE-5607: Update PARS JSON host URL. Corrected the production host for the ACCME PARS JSON connection so sites using the modernized JSON API can authenticate and save PARS data. Released as hotfix 7.109.1.

Hi Tarah,

Thanks for asking. In short, no EthosCE customers were affected by this, and you don’t need to run an audit.

CORE-5607 relates to ACCME’s newer JSON API for PARS reporting. During internal testing, we found that ACCME’s production hostname for that API had changed, and the change hadn’t been documented. In 7.109, we updated EthosCE to use the current production endpoint, which ACCME confirmed.

We haven’t moved any clients to the JSON connection yet. Every EthosCE site is still on the standard XML (SOAP) connection, which this change didn’t touch, so your PARS reporting has continued as normal. We fixed this ahead of any client migrations so the switch to JSON goes smoothly when it happens.

If you have any questions, let us know.

Thanks for confirming! And just so I am clear this move to the new JSON is something new, not part of the API Modernization that too place May/June-ish, correct?
