Automated Email for Failed Reporting of Pharmacy Credits

Learners whose MOC credits have been rejected get an automated notification, which has been immensely helpful in ensuring that we resolve any errors preventing them from getting credit (eg. incorrect board ID/DOB, mismatched activity IDs, etc)

Our office has been wondering if a similar mechanism could be implemented for rejected Pharmacy credits, especially since there’s a 60-day deadline for pharmacists/pharm techs to report their CPEs to the NABP.

Would anyone else be interested in this capability?

Hi Maxine,

We would be very interested in this. If could email the learner that there was an error and what the error was and the link to allow them to correct their information in EthosCE, would be very helpful.

We would be interested in this if MOC/NABP rejection emails were SEPARATE from state rejection emails. This has become a huge problem for us, to the point we have asked these emails to be turned off.

We are actively investigating how we can support automated emails for accepted and rejected/failed pharmacy credits and we hope to have a plan to address this soon.

We also have heard the similar feedback in regards to MOC acceptance/rejections emails being used for State reporting. We do have some limitations based on the technical design given both MOC and States are all being reported via PARS, that we cannot separate those emails without significant lift. However in this current sprint, we have made some nice modifications to the email text to better describe the actions taking place that we anticipate will alleviate any confusion specifically for those learners who are not claiming MOC. This ticket is complete and will do to test sites next week.

I agree this would be nice, however, would probably not want an email sent to the customer if the error was on the backend due to a mistype of UAN in the course/session build. In that case would be nice if email could be sent to the system main email address.
