EthosCE 7.24 Release Notes
Sites will be updated per the release schedule. For a full list of changes, please review the changelog.
Email notifications when a privileged role is assigned
EthosCE will send your site admins an email notification whenever a user is assigned the site admin role. This will help you monitor who has been given escalated permissions on your site. Site admins will also receive a notification every 6 months reminding them to review administrative users.
This feature is the first of several security and privacy improvements in EthosCE that will be released in the next few months. These features are designed to help you manage the human security of your site and improve data privacy controls.
Prevent accidental entry of both ACCME activity id and provider activity id
The system will prevent accidental entry of both the ACCME activity id and provider activity id. When one is entered, the other will be removed.
Give web service access to taxonomy term and vocabulary endpoints.
Two new endpoints have been exposed to the web service role: taxonomy_vocabulary and taxonomy_term. These endpoints can be used to create, retrieve, update and delete taxonomies and terms.
Increase range on course date pickers to +/- 5 years
Courses may now open or expire up to 5 years in the future.
Allow use of embed tags
Embed tags were accidentally restricted in the text filter security updates made in 7.23. The embed tag is now allowed in text areas again.
Correct HTML tags
HTML tags will now be auto-corrected upon save. This ensures that HTML tags are properly closed before being passed to the security text filter.
