Warpwire Lite on all EthosCE sites
Today we are excited to announce that Warpwire is now available to all EthosCE customers!

Warpwire is the Cadmium video recording, hosting, and delivery solution for educational videos. Warpwire makes it easy to securely capture, analyze, share, and organize media. It works across devices, integrates with EthosCE, and is designed for education.

All EthosCE customers are now able to store and deliver up to 5 videos for free.

EthosCE and Warpwire are both products produced by Cadmium, the all-in-one event & learning platform powering world-class events and enduring educational experiences.

Together we are able to deliver Warpwire as a new, free offering in EthosCE. The Wapwire “lite” package includes the following:

  • Automated closed captions
  • Support for audio and video uploads
  • Multi-camera recording (desktop & camera)
  • Support for legacy live broadcasts
  • Video snipping

Warpwire Lite feature restrictions:

  • No institutional admin access
  • No support for public video sharing or embedding
  • Maximum upload limit of 5 videos

The Warpwire video course object also provides the ability to set completion criteria on Warpwire video and audio files within an EthosCE course and will prevent learners from moving forward until the completion criteria has been met. The learner’s percentage of completion will be tracked and made accessible to course admin and site admin.

Enrollment start date added to course reports when SMS attendance has been fulfilled
When a learner texts in to confirm attendance via our SMS attendance add-on, this update will now create timestamps for attendance course object start and completion dates, enrollment created, and enrollment start dates. The addition of these timestamps will now show up accurately on the course reports.

This change also aims to improve the method of when the learner’s enrollment officially starts. Now, the enrollment start date is set when the learner purchases the course. The enrollment duration timer now starts immediately as well. Previously, the learner’s enrollment start date would not be set until the learner clicked the ‘Start Course’ button from the course landing page.

Free course catalog search facet
An improvement to the course catalog search facets has been added to all EthosCE sites. The addition of a ‘Free’ course price selection allows learners to search exclusively for free courses available for registration.

Addition of CSS body class when a learner is logged in and enrolled in an activity
Administrators can now target the additional body class ‘enrolled’. The class will conditionally appear when a learner is logged into EthosCE and enrolled in an activity. This additional class can be used to customize learner-facing content on the course landing page specifically for learners who are logged in and enrolled within an EthosCE activity.

This is so exciting! My question is: Can we insert a “demo” video to practice with and then remove it and still have 5 videos to utilize? Also can we remove an enduring material video once it expires and then replace it with another to still only count as 1 of the 5 videos allowed?
