How to Grade a Short vs. Long Answer Question in Ethos

Has anyone discovered a means of grading or assigning a passing value for short vs. long answer question type/formats in Ethos? This would NOT include manual scoring of the question, but instead some other way of determining if the answer provided meets the requirements expected and is assigned a passing grade/value which can then be applied to the passing grade sum. Sutter has been wanting to apply this question type in its Quizzes for end user/learner outcomes measurement but has not figured out how to determine if someone “passes” the question and determined values for correct vs. incorrect answers provided.

Any insight & experience with determining how to implement open-ended questions and structure a passing value would be greatly appreciated!

Hi - Sorry, we have not found the best way for that yet and manually score all our short/long answers (thinking for MOC)

Looking forward to hearing if someone else has

We don’t do this either but for MOC it would be a nice feature. It seems like something an AI feature could help with.
