I’ve now had three people with failed CME Passport reports due to the DOB being wrong. When I checked the learner validation tool, I discovered that their DOBs were off by one day.
The most recent one sent me a screenshot of her credit reporting report and it looks like her DOB changed in Ethos sometime between mid-July and today.
Has anyone seen this before? My IT department is really good at blaming Ethos for things that are IT’s fault, so wanted to check before I take it up with them.
Hi Beth, re your comment: “failed CME Passport reports due to the DOB being wrong. When I checked the learner validation tool, I discovered that their DOBs were off by one day.” - I’ve had the same thing happen this month for a handful of cases. I had some other date issue and learned it was related to timezones, so I wonder if it is something odd like that. I didn’t see any pattern in the ones I had to fix so thought it was just me. Now it looks like it is a shared issue.
Good afternoon. Is your learner login/authentication through SAML-based SSO with EthosCE? I’m just wondering if they are self-entering DOB or if it’s drawing from the SSO attributes?
We have seen some time zone issues with reporting in the past. If you put in a suppor ticket with the user’s details, we can investigate it. I’m interested to see if records were reporting correctly and then started to get rejected. That date can help us determine where to look for changes that may be at fault.
I don’t know for the first two, but the most recent one did have something change between the middle of July and now. She sent me the screenshot below when she reached out about the failure notification.
I’ll submit a ticket with her details later today. If I can find the emails from the other two users (I don’t remember who they were), I’ll include them in the ticket, too.
