EthosCE 7.54 Release Notes
PARS & JA PARS web service reporter add-on upgrade
In early 2021 ACCME announced an enhancement upgrade to the PARS and JA PARS (Program and Activity Reporting System). The ACCME PARS Web Service allows external systems, like EthosCE, to dynamically open and update ACCME Activity records.
The product development team at EthosCE has been eager to provide any and all available enhancements to our ACCME PARS web service reporting add-on to help customers leverage the latest and greatest features PARS has to offer.
Since the upgraded PARS experience officially launched, the EthosCE product team has been vigorously working to integrate these changes and enhancements to our PARS web service reporting add-on. Unfortunately, we have uncovered many issues and bugs in the new PARS web service, which has significantly delayed our release of the latest changes.
EthosCE version 7.54 brings the latest PARS & JA PARS updates to the web service reporter add-on and the manual PARS & JA PARS export tool. For a full list of enhancements, changes, deprecations, and known issues, please visit our user guide.
Conference Harvester integration enhancements: Event assets importer
Version 7.54 includes our latest enhancements to the Conference Harvester presentation importer tool. The Cadmium Conference Harvester is a platform used to manage speaker and exhibitor content, plan session and presentation details, and communicate with stakeholders via an email tool.
The Conference Harvester content import feature can be used to create courses and course relationships in EthosCE from presentations and sessions in Education Harvester. This feature can be used for setting up courses in EthosCE using Harvester data. Once created in EthosCE, these courses can be used to sell and deliver enduring materials or provide assessments, evaluations, credit claiming and certificates for use after a CadmiumCD event.
Our latest enhancement includes support for automatically importing presentation media assets and embedding them directly into EthosCE as course objects. Media assets include:
- Warpwire video presentation recording tasks
- EventScribe video presentation recording tasks
- Mp4 & mp3 audio presentation files
- PDF, image, and .doc presentation file supplements (posters, slides, handouts, and more)
