EthosCE 7.61 Released

EthosCE 7.61 Release Notes

Sites will be updated per the release schedule. For a full list of changes, please review the changelog.

Addition of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Technician participant categories for JA PARS

JA PARS customers must now include participant counts for Pharmacist and Pharmacy technicians when applicable. We have added both participant categories to EthosCE which will now be reflected on all JA PARS reports when enabled. We will be reaching out to customers with previously mapped participant categories to assist in migrating learner counts for any open 2022 JA PARS activities.

Recommended Course Engine: Beta Release

EthosCE is now inviting a small group of customers to try out our new course recommendation engine! The course recommendation engine allows learners to curate a personalized view of available courses published on EthosCE sites. Learners are able to select from a list of automatically generated terms directly from course content. Learners can further refine their preferred course offerings by selecting additional metadata preferences such as credit types, activity format, and more. As new courses are published on EthosCE, the course recommendation engine will automatically provide learners with new course recommendations that match their terms of interest and metadata preferences.

At time time, we would like to engage a small group of existing EthosCE customers to test out our recommendation engine and provide us some feedback. If you are interested in joining our closed beta, please reach out to Scott Hoppe, EthosCE Product Manager.

Addition of course financials report and income/expense entry form

Version 7.61 includes the addition of a new Financials tab located on the course settings page for administrative users. The Financials tab includes an automatically generated report detailing estimated activity revenue calculated directly by product sales for the activity. The Financials tab also includes a ledger form to input additional Income and Expense line items to adjust the estimated net revenue. Administrators can add their own selectable categories for each Income and Expense option by adding new taxonomy terms. For PARS and JA PARS customers, you’ll notice we moved the optional income and expense ledger form the ACCME settings tab over to the Financials tab. We migrated all of the existing data, added income and expense categories, and automatically generated new reports.

Additional course catalog sorting options

By popular demand, EthosCE now supports additional catalog sorting options to further refine the learner experience of finding new courses. The course catalog search sorting experience now includes the additional options:

  • Activity live event date (ascending or descending)
  • Activity open date (ascending or descending)
  • Activity expiration date (ascending or descending)
  • Activity price (ascending or descending)

Bug fixes and other improvements

EthosCE 7.61 also includes various other improvements, bug and security fixes.

According to the schedule for cloud customers, these changes should be on our test site now, and then go live this Wednesday. I just went to Test and I don’t see the financials tab. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place? Please advise. Thanks! JAM
