Hello, does anyone have a recommendation on how to create the first page for learners to see when they launch a course that has a checkbox where they can opt out of sharing their contact information before they advance to the next object of the course? Would also need to be able to pull a report with the names of who opted out.
My initial thought was to create it as an evaluation with the one question but curious if there are recommendations to create it differently.
If the course has a cost associated with it, we create an Attribute for the course. That way, they have to answer prior to registering and we can see that before the course even starts. We have worked with our legal department on the wording, but you can see an example below.
If the course is free, then coming up with a webform that asks the same thing and is required will be helpful. Note: in that case, I would use Reminders to keep pushing ppl to fill out the webform to get that information to you prior to the course start.
You could include an attribute when they register for the course. That information (their choice to opt in or out) would show up in the Order Report under Course Reports. It will be in a column called “Product Attributes.” You may have to expand the column and wrap the text to see it.
