Good morning. I’m revisiting the Take Course button topic again. I know we can’t make the button say different things for each course, but can it be hidden temporarily with code? Has anyone managed to do this? If so, could you share how?
Our issue is that a group of our courses requires registration on a different site and credit claiming on ours. We have directions on our Ethos site, but some people still click the Take Course button without reading. If we can’t change the button, does anyone have other suggestions?
We have had courses where registration was happening on another site. We have not opened the EthosCE course for registration and used the import tool to import just the enrollment. Will need to get a list of enrolled learners (basically name and email) from your outside organization taking registration. Import them into EthosCE and this allows the learner to see the Start button so they can do what they need to do.
We do have a CSS sample for how to hide the Take Course button on selected Nodes.
Be sure to conduct testing on how the activity will be accessed to claim credit. Karen’s import solution is a great way to record those registrations in EthosCE.
