We’re investigating the EthosCE Zoom Integration and are very hesitant because it’s an account-level integration. We already know the attendance reporting won’t work because we’re a HIPAA-protected instance of Zoom.
However, our webinar host still wants the Zoom integration to track they launch the webinar from within EthosCE. Are the attendees required to only access the webinar from within EthosCE or can they still launch the webinar from a calendar link or mail/something else outside of EthosCE? Just wondering if there’s still a loophole to the meeting launch that won’t be tracked.
I can tell you that at UNC Chapel Hill we have both HIPAA and Non-HIPAA Zoom accounts configured. Our integration is, of course, configured with a Non-HIPAA account. It has worked extremely well for us.
Thanks Tim. Did you have any concerns about the account-level integration? I haven’t seen yet on the EthosCE side how it decides who can create a Zoom meeting/webinar. I presume there’s some email matching between EthosCE and Zoom. I might want to reach out more directly if you don’t mind.
