Application Enhancements - Remove Comments on Clone & Ability to Assign Cloned Application to Alternate Creator

The Course Application module has great capabilities. Enhancements we’d like to see:

On cloning an application - ability to remove comments

  • typically the creator has made modifications
  • old comments do not need to be conveyed

Reassign ownership to an alternate account

  • when the activity owner changes, there is not currently a method to transfer an application to an alternate account owner
  • if possible, allowing multiple authors to work on an application, would also be desirable

Application dashboard - additional role or provide site admins access to the dashboard

  • potentially creating a view role that would allow designated authenticated users to view application status (present state is that we export the application list on a daily basis to a spreadsheet for site admins to view)

Great suggestions. I’m fairly certain the point about multiple contributors and owner re-assignment has been on the general wish list a long time in the community. Those would be a nice addition, given that for us at least, it’s probably more likely many are involved in providing what’s needed on an application vs. just one person (i.e. faculty, admin, meeting planner, etc).

Our wish list has been:
Allowing multiple authors to work on an application
Allow authors to make edits to the application after they have submitted it
and once approve, authors may no longer edit.

Agreed. Multiple contributors is one of the reasons why we do not use the application.
