EthosCE 7.27 Release Notes

Sites will be updated per the release schedule. For a full list of changes, please review the changelog.

New course access prerequisite to prevent duplicate credit

This feature adds a new course access blocker to the course prerequisite options. Administrators now have the ability to block enrollment if a learner has completed another course in the system. For example, for enduring versions of live courses where a learner should not be able to receive credit for both the enduring and live courses. The new course access blocker could prevent the learner from enrolling in the enduring version of the course if they completed the live version. This feature is now available for all customers in EthosCE.

Exhibitor tab on the course landing page

Many members of our EthosCE Community asked for a dedicated tab for exhibitor information on the course landing page. They found that other available tabs became too crowded when adding exhibitor information. This feature provides the addition of an optional “Exhibitors” tab on the course landing page. This feature is now available for all customers in EthosCE.

Stripe payment gateway

EthosCE now supports the Stripe payment gateway for payment processing. Stripe offers a flexible and user-friendly payment gateway for accepting online payments through EthosCE. This feature is now available in all versions of EthosCE.

Please submit a support ticket if you are interested in switching to Stripe.

Search for RSS session by SMS code

Many users with the Regular Scheduled Series add-on (RSS) have requested the ability to find a session in the system by searching with an SMS code. This new feature adds a course report for administrative users to locate a session by searching with a session’s SMS code. This feature is available in versions of EthosCE with an active RSS add-on.

Administrative course access improvements

A long-term support issue has been the ability for administrators to either move a course into a series or move sessions into learning groups, either of which renders the course or session uneditable. This fix removes the ability for administrators to move courses and sessions improperly.

Child credit improvements

On the credit claiming page, when child credit claiming is enabled, a learner could claim more credit on the child than they claimed on the parent. This update prevents the learner from claiming more on the child then they claimed on the parent.

Child Credits are now available in all versions of EthosCE. Please submit a support ticket if you are interested in this feature.

Bug fixes and other improvements

EthosCE 7.27 also includes various other improvements, bug and security fixes.
