EthosCE 7.31 Release Notes

Sites will be updated per the release schedule. For a full list of changes, please review the changelog.

Activity Application Improvements
This update includes an update to the Activity Application Add-on and is the first release that is targeted by our second-quarter product roadmap!

The Activity Application Add-on now supports the ability for a user with the “CME Manager” role to add multiple users with the “CME Reviewer” role to an Activity Application. It also allows reviewers and managers to send an Activity Application back to the submitter for edits. In addition, the reviewer and manager now have access to a new ‘Requested Changes’ field. This field allows both roles to draft a custom email notification to be sent back to the submitter. The improved editing workflow can repeat indefinitely until the application is approved.

Please check out our EthosCE user guide for more information about the recent improvements to this feature.

WCAG 2.0 Accessibility Improvements
In accordance with our commitment to maintain and improve the accessibility of EthosCE, we recently completed a comprehensive accessibility audit of the learner user experience. Our auditor identified various areas of accessibility improvement and this update includes many changes to enhance the functionality of using EthosCE with assistive technology. In addition to the recent audit and accessibility updates within EthosCE, we’ve also compiled a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template(VPAT) which is available upon request. Our VPAT includes common WCAG 2.0 standards EthosCE currently supports as well as standards we are working to improve upon with upcoming releases.

Attribute Pricing Adjustment Support
EthosCE’s attribute-generated dynamic pricing will now dynamically update the pricing displayed on the course landing page. This is supported in all versions of EthosCE and requires no additional configuration.

Custom CSS for Enrollment Groups Add-on
To enhance the user experience of our Enrollment Groups Add-on, this feature provides the ability for administrators to add custom CSS to their Enrollment Group landing pages. This update is the first of several improvements coming to our Enrollment Groups Add-on.

EthosCE 2020 Product Development Roadmap Released
As our software continues to grow, so does the need for a shared and specific product-enhancement roadmap. In planning for 2020, we decided to focus on a priority-driven approach in order to align our product development goals with customer needs. While researching our most pressing product improvement options, we found that most features shared common themes. We’ve decided to take advantage of these themes, organize them into development cycles and work through them by quarter. View the full 2020 product roadmap here!

Bug fixes and other improvements
EthosCE 7.31 also includes various other improvements, bug and security fixes.
