How do you produce a single certificate for parent-child events that have variable credit? For instance, there is a seminar with 10 sessions built in a parent-child relationship. Each session is optional, so people may earn 1-10 hours’ credit. How do we have Ethos produce a certificate reflecting the sum of attendee’s credit from this seminar?
If there is no answer, then this is a desperate plea to develop this capability.
Thanks for your replies. It’s a little more complicated…
We have different types of credit in each child, so on the parent certificate we need to indicate the total number of credits achieved for each type of child credit. For example, let’s say a course has 20 total hours made up of 10 category A and 10 category B. If the user completed 2 A hours and 1 B hour, the certificate should indicate 3 hours completed composed of 2 A and 1 B hour. My understanding is that the only way that we can get close to this on the parent certificate is to use the roll-up token that displays the total possible number of parent credits (20) with a list of individual achieved child credits below. The current solution looks like this:
Parent Course 20 hours
Course One 1 Category A hour
Course Two 1 Category A hour
Course Three 1 Category B hour
What that leaves the attendee with is the implication that s/he completed 20 hours, since that is the very first line shown. It does not show a total number of actual hours achieved, either in sum or by category. What would be ideal would be a token that displays something like:
Parent Course 3 total hours completed consisting of
2 Category A hours
1 Category B hour
or even just listing the individual courses without the parent total at the top:
